What Is Air-Gapped Observability?

Air-gapped observability means the whole stack, including the AI, runs inside a network that never touches the internet.
Air-gapped observability is running the full observability and AIOps stack inside an isolated network with no internet connectivity, so telemetry collection, storage, analysis and any AI models all run self-hosted, for regulated, defence, or operational-technology environments.
Why it exists
Many environments, defence, critical infrastructure, regulated finance, industrial and operational technology, cannot send data to a cloud service, whether for regulation, classification or safety. Air-gapped observability keeps everything inside the boundary: collectors, storage, dashboards and any AIOps intelligence are deployed and run on-premises with no external egress.
What it requires
An air-gapped deployment cannot depend on SaaS backends or cloud-hosted AI, so the entire pipeline must be self-contained, including running any anomaly-detection or agentic models locally. Updates arrive through controlled, offline processes. The hard requirement is that no telemetry and no model call ever leaves the network.
